As the attention has been moved to The Hague today, where witnesses are making statements in defense of former KLAs, former parliamentarians Elisa Spiropali is convinced that justice will triumph.
With a post on social networks, Ms. Spiropali, who has been proposed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, also as Albania’s chief diplomat in charge of foreign affairs, called the trial of former President Hashim Thaci unfair to former Kosovo Speaker Jakup Krasniqi and Kadri Veseli, and former MP Rexhep Selimi.
“In The Hague began today’s protection testimonies for Kosovo’s liberators, long found in the endless and undeserved reception. At the moment, when the presentation of evidence and evidence of defense will eventually remove fantasy stains on the KLA name, justice must once and for all injustice. Any equivalence between accusations of guilt over the liberators and the freedom they brought to Kosovo Albanians would be a shameful draw of evil with good, a plaque in the history of peoples for freedom and justice,Ms. Spiropali on Facebook posted.
Former President Thaçi summoned today (September 15) former US Secretary of State James Rubin, to testify in his favor in The Hague, accused of war crimes he and other senior Kosovo officials are allegedly committing in the late 1990s.
The day witness, who served in the US Democratic Government in 1997-2000, appeared at the Special Court along with current representatives of the US government. Rubin was the senior messenger of the Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright and was involved in the works in Rambouillet with Albanian representatives on the Peace Agreement between Kosovo and Yugoslavia.
The day before, Albanians from different parts of the world, with the support of the KLA War Veterans Organization, gathered at the Hague Court building in support of former KLA leaders, holding placards in their hands, with patriotic songs, military motifs and calls for justice.
