The protest in support of Thaç, Krasniqi, Vesel and Selim will be held in Strasbourg, November 16

Strasbourg will be the city where the next protest will be held in support of the former KLA leaders who are being tried in the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo based in The Hague.

The head of the Organization of Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army stated in a press conference that the protest will be held in front of the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on November 16.

“We will organize the next protest on November 16 at 1:00 p.m. in front of the Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. The reason why this place was chosen is the fact that in this country, in France and in this city, the decision was made for an unfair trial that was made against us.”

Meanwhile, the Veterans’ Organization has decided not to hold a protest in Skopje, North Macedonia for the time being.

“At the moment we will not hold a protest in North Macedonia because the elections are being held and they have come out in a runoff. The situation can get out of control, anyone can provoke us.”

The former president of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi, former parliamentarians Kadri Veseli and Jakup Krasniqi, and former deputy Rexhep Selimi are being tried for crimes against humanity and war crimes during the last war in Kosovo. The four former senior officials of Kosovo have been in custody in The Hague since 2020. Mass protests have been held in support of them in Pristina, The Hague and Tirana.
