The pirates will leave the government on Tuesday, Bartoš said. Both Lipavský and Šalomoun will resign

“That’s right,” Bartoš responded to a direct question as to whether the Pirates would really leave the coalition cabinet. According to him, this should happen on Tuesday after the meeting of the parliamentary club.

“When you fire the chairman of the party from the government over the phone, the party simply cannot react differently,” he explained his view of the current situation.

According to Bartoš, the decision of the Pirates is based on an internal party vote, the results of which will be discussed by the pirate club on Tuesday. The piquant part is that the voting is not public and even the party leadership should not see it, members can vote until Monday evening.

Nevertheless, Bartoš also predicted that the remaining pirate ministers Šalomoun and Lipavský will resign on Tuesday. Bartoš is not worried that Lipavský would not resign. “After all, he clearly said that he would resign. Although he mentioned that after leaving the government, he will also consider his membership in our party,” responded the outgoing chairman of the Pirates.

At the same time, he emphasized that he wants to meet with the other coalition partners. The issue will probably be whether the Pirates will end up in the opposition, or whether they will tolerate the government, as suggested by Fiala.

Fiala: “They act like little children”

The current conjectures with the Pirates heated up Fiala twice during the weekend. In Partia on TV Prima, he repeatedly jumped into the speech of the moderator Tománková in an affected voice. “Does everything work at the building authorities? It doesn’t work,” Fiala kept repeating, saying that the recall of Bartoš was the only option.

He reacted just as irritated on Saturday in the post-election press conference to a question about Bartoš.

At the same time, he explained why he is so irritated. So far, he has been accused of not being able to show emotions. “That’s how I show them,” faced the prime minister.

“Pirates behave like little children. They sat with us in the government for a thousand days and suddenly everything bothers them,” he responded incomprehensibly to the current actions of his political partner.

Complete government within 14 days

Fiala said on Sunday that he wants to be clear about what the government coalition will look like by Wednesday at the latest. He expects a complete government within 14 days. In addition, he said that he is not planning a major reconstruction of the government.

At the same time, he did not rule out that he would abolish the post of Minister for Legislation when the Pirates leave the government.
