The Constitution of the Assembly of Kosovo, Osmani submits its views tomorrow to the constitution

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, will submit her views on Tuesday on the issue of the constitution of the Assembly.

The news was confirmed to Albanian television by President Osmani’s media adviser, Bekim Kupina.

The Constitutional Court has already imposed a temporary measure until September 30. Regarding the merits of the case, the President will hand over the Constitutional Court to her comments on the case within the time limit set by the court, thus tomorrow 9 September,Mr. Kupina said.

Further, President Osmani’s adviser stressed that it has always been of the position that no one should have the right to block the country’s institutions.

The president’s position has always been that no one should have the right to block the institutions, and consequently the state. As provided for in Article 57 (4) of the Constitution, the realization of the rights of communities is inseparable from the obligation to comply with the laws of the Republic of Kosovo and not to violate the rights of others,Informed Mr. Kupina.

On September 5, the Constitutional Court of Kosovo imposed a temporary measure, which by September 30 prohibits any action of the Assembly MPs and the development of any procedure for the creation of the new government of the country.

The court ruled this measure after deputies of the largest Kosovo Serbs party, the Serbian List and Gorani Community MP Adem Hoxha, filed a complaint about the voting of the Vice President of the Assembly, which should be from the Serb community.

The Vice President has not yet been elected, but Speaker Dimal Basha closed the constituent session of the Assembly.

In the past, the two vice presidents of the minorities have been elected to the block.
