The candidate for the municipality of Çairi from the ranks of KIA, Bujar Osmani, has cast his vote for the Local Elections that are being held today in North Macedonia. In a statement to the media, after the vote, he invited the citizens to vote while saying that the elections are decisive for the future of the country.
“Today is really a day of celebration as well as a historical day, it happens that on the shoulders of the citizens of Çair is the burden of history, of the country of the people. Therefore, with today’s vote here in Çair, the European course of the state and the issue of the Ohrid agreement and inter-ethnic relations but also the future of Çair will be determined. Today we will give the right message. I want to invite everyone to passively vote in the elections. This day will be written in history as the day that determines the future of decades to come”Osmani said.
North Macedonia is holding this Sunday (October 19) the eighth local elections since independence. Citizens will vote in all 80 municipalities of the country and in the City of Skopje to elect new mayors and members of municipal councils.
On Saturday, sick people and people who could not vote, people in old people’s homes, as well as those who are in custody or serving a prison sentence, voted.
The local elections of 2025 are the fourth in which mayors and municipal councils are elected simultaneously in all administrative units.
