The Acting Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, today inspected the border line in the north where the citizen Milan Vukašinović was kidnapped last week.
During the inspection at the “Lokvica” point near Leposaviq, Sveçla has confirmed that, according to all the information and testimonies collected by the Kosovo Police, Vukašinović was wounded with a firearm inside the territory of Kosovo on November 1 and then forcibly withdrawn to Serbia by the Serbian parallel structure.
He is currently hospitalized in Nis, where he is kept under strict supervision and is denied the right to a lawyer and contact with his family.
“Based on the information and evidence provided by our authorities, it is already known that violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Vukashinovic was kidnapped by the structures of Serbia as an opponent of the Serbian List.
The same person is being treated for his injuries in the Nis hospital in Serbia. Serbia is being proven every day more and more not only as an aggressor state towards its neighbors, but also essentially as an anti-democratic state, since Mr. Vukashinovic is still being denied legal protection, which is guaranteed by law even in the most dictatorial countries“, writes Svelça.
The minister announced that intensive investigations continue without interruption for the full identification of the perpetrators and collaborators, who will appear before justice as soon as the procedures are completed.
“Our institutions are continuing with intensive investigations to uncover the entire case and the actors involved in it, and at the first moment they will be brought to justice, as well as measures will be taken to oppose the criminal and destructive behavior of Serbia in relation to the Republic of Kosovo. Minister Svelça writes further.
He called on the international community to increase pressure on Serbia to stop destabilizing practices and to prevent the repetition of acts that endanger peace in the region.
“I appeal to the international community to increase pressure and take measures against the Serbian state, in order to punish this destabilizing behavior but also to prevent other situations that would raise tensions in the region“, concludes the post on the social network on Facebook.
