Stripped naked and shot. Russian soldiers killed two more unarmed Ukrainian prisoners

The case is being investigated by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office. In the footage from November 10, which she published on Telegram, naked soldiers can be seen lying lifeless in a field. According to the office, representatives of the Russian army captured two Ukrainian soldiers after the attack on the defense forces, forced them to undress and then led them through the forest, where they shot them.

“We are currently investigating all the circumstances of the event. Killing prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a serious international crime,” the prosecutor’s office said, according to the Ukrainska pravda website.

The investigation also deals with the suspicion that the Russian army shot another three wounded defenders of Ukraine in the area.

A similar act of larger dimensions also occurred in the Donetsk region at the beginning of October, where Russian soldiers shot sixteen surrendering Ukrainian soldiers. According to the local prosecutor general Andrije Kotin, it was the largest such case to date.

On Wednesday, the Ukrainska Pravda server wrote about another alleged shooting of Ukrainian prisoners, this time in Russia’s Kursk Oblast.

“The international community must act immediately. The occupying country again violated the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War. Russia must be stopped. The enemy will confess to every crime,” said Dmytro Lubinec, Commissioner of the Supreme Council for Human Rights, regarding the case. At the same time, he has long termed the murders of Ukrainian prisoners as a deliberate tactic of Russia.
