“As some of you may know, I’ve been in trouble and now I’ve lost my sight. I didn’t see the show, but I enjoyed it,” said John in an emotional speech. “I like to listen to him,” he added to thunderous applause.
In the documentary Elton John: It’s Never Too Late, which aired in September, the singer said he was worried about the future due to his health: “This is the final period of my life. I don’t know how much time I have left.’
He never hid his problems. In the program Good Morning America, he also explained, among other things, that he suffers from eye inflammation and that it hinders his plans, including the release of a new album. This summer, however, he still hoped that he would recover, even though he knew it would be a long journey, stated OK Magazine, among other things.
Elton John sold more than 300 million records during his six-decade career. He also performed over 300 concerts in the USA, Europe and Australia. His last performance in the Czech Republic was in May 2019 at the sold-out O2 arena. He stopped performing last year with the end of his several-year tour called Farewell Yellow Brick Road.
Elton John wrote a book. It contains experiences from the farewell tour and memories of the old days
