“I’m really sorry that I can’t continue dancing. I was extremely happy on the StarDance floor. Even in Saturday’s eighth round, I tried with all my might to overcome the pain in my right ankle, in which I have bone swelling caused by long-term dancing effort,” stated Hartl in a statement to the media.
He added that he is no longer able to play with the injury: “After the doctors warned that I was at risk of a fatigue fracture, I had to tame my passion, accept temporary crutches and rationally resign. I thank the audience from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to experience so much joy in eight dance evenings with their support. And most of all, I thank the exceptional Terezka Prucková for all the wonderful training moments.”
Withdrawal from StarDance
- On Monday, December 2, 2024, the writer Patrik Hartl announced that he was withdrawing from the television dance competition. Although it is a shock for the audience, his fans, StarDance has already experienced similar situations.
- In December 2006, actress Mahulena Bočanová died prematurely. Her elimination was decided by the injury of her partner Jaroslav Kuneš.
- Model, mayor and now KDU-ČSL vice-president Monika Žídková resigned because of the dancer in November 2007. Jan Halíř had a serious car accident in which a person from an oncoming car died. He himself ended up in the hospital.
- In October 2010, the competition started without actress Taťjana Medvecká, who had to withdraw from it at the last minute due to an injury. She was replaced by the singer Aneta Langerová.
- In 2018, Václav Kopta also did not enter the competition due to health reasons. He was replaced by Richard Genzer, who now sits on the jury.
- In 2021, covid entered the competition again. Mirai Navrátil and Lenka Nora Návorková were eliminated in December due to absences.
On the ninth evening, i.e. the following Saturday, the pair Marta Dancingerová with Martin Prágre, Oskar Hes with Kateřina Bartuněk Hrstková, Martina Ptáčková with Dominik Vodička and Lucie Vondráčková with Lukáš Bartuňek will take to the dance floor live.
The return of defectors to the competition is in accordance with the rules of the competition. “This step was also approved by the representatives of the owner of the license, that is, the British public BBC,” said creative producer Lucie Kapounová.
Lucie Vondráčková is ready to get back on the floor, she added: “I was already a little worried about Patrik last round, because it was obvious that he was going through a lot of pain. He is the hero of the floor for me! I hope he will be fine soon. On Saturday, Lukáš (Bartuňek) and I will dance mainly for Patrik.”
