“Putin is in many ways in a hopeless situation,” Kaylan said at the beginning of the commentary, saying that he got into it for several reasons.

He was the first to state the situation on the Crimean peninsula, which was practically cut off from fuel by the Ukrainian attacks. “The Russians have only one last route for fuel supplies: the Kerch Bridge – a highly symbolic structure that has been bombed many times, but is still standing,” the commentator wrote.

According to him, fuel tankers crossing the mentioned bridge will be an ideal target. “My sources inside Ukrainian intelligence tell me that such an attack on a massive scale is imminent,” he claims.

Kaylan went on to say that everyone knows how the war in Ukraine turned. According to him, the lens through which people look at the war is just as important as the situation at the front itself.

“When such exceptional disasters occur that neither Putin nor the Russian public can ignore them, reality itself changes. The whole barbaric adventure in Ukraine will look like a disaster. Putin cannot avoid this damage to his reputation,” he says, adding that if Putin cannot control the optics, “the clock will start counting down the time to his end.”

According to Kaylan, the deteriorating situation in Russia is also proven by videos circulating on social networks, where “crying influencers” complain that they cannot get gas. Footage of men on Russian streets, where they are forcibly recruited into the army, is also spreading, and it often happens, according to him, that their families block the vehicles of the “kidnappers”. “The question is heard on the streets, why those who enforce obedience do not serve on the front themselves,” he claims.

According to Kaylan, all this increases the pressure on Putin, who is noticed by the Russian elites. “The population can only conclude that either Putin is responsible for this, or the elites around him are isolating him from realizing the situation and correcting it,” he said, adding that it is for this reason that the elites will revolt before the army, because they will be “fearful”.

The commentator further believes that Putin’s end can be triggered by anything. “Even more dramatic Ukrainian attacks on Moscow. Food shortages. Uprisings in provinces such as Tatarstan, Bashkortostan or Chechnya. Ukrainian invasion of Crimea,” he names.

But it is also likely, according to him, that China will decide that Putin is a weakening leader who poses a threat to Beijing.
