The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, filed today (September 9) to the Constitutional Court comments on the process of constitution.
In a statement to the media she said that the Assembly could not be blocked for not being elected a vice president, adding that a state without institutions was failed.
Referring to the temporary measure imposed by the Constitutional Court after the stalemate created by the Assembly for not voting for the vice president of Serbian minorities, Osmani emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo cannot be depreciated by giving a party representing a community.
“The blocking of the constitution due to the non -election of a mayor would seriously violate not only the institutional functionality, but also the values and foundations on which the Republic is built. For us the position belonging to the Serbian community remains for them and nowhere will it take that place. A single vice president despite the fact that the Presidency has sufficient quorum and has a chairman, and when the MPs have taken the oath, in those moments the legitimate representation of citizens in the highest institution is also impossible for the exercise of sovereigntyt ”, Osmani declared.
Osman’s statements follow the measure that the country’s Constitutional Court temporarily ruled until September 30, banning any action to the Assembly deputies and the development of any procedure for the creation of the new government. The court ruled this measure after the deputies of the largest Serbian Serbian Serbian party and the Gorani community MP Adem Hoxha filed a complaint about the voting of the Vice President of the Assembly, which should be from the Serb community.
