The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in an official meeting in charge of the United States of America in Kosovo, Anu Pratipati.
The meeting, held at the Presidency’s premises, focused on discussing recent political and institutional developments in Kosovo, as well as strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
According to the official announcement of the Presidency, one of the highlights of the discussion was the latest developments in the country’s political scene, with particular emphasis on the election of the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo and most of his vice presidents.
President Osmani and Ms. Pratipate appreciated the progress made and examined the further steps towards the full constitution of the Assembly as an important step for the functioning of the country’s democratic institutions.
The meeting reconfirmed the joint commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation between Kosovo and the United States, focusing on areas of strategic interest for both parties.
President Osmani emphasized the importance of partnership with the US, describing it as a key pillar for Kosovo development and regional stability.
Another important topic of the discussion was the preparation for the United Nations General Assembly, which will be held in New York.
President Osmani, who will lead the Kosovo delegation as the head of state, shared with Ms. Pratipate the agenda and expectations from meetings and activities planned during this important international event.
