“We just reached a great agreement on the war with Iran, subject to the finalization of the documents. It should be done in the next few days,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, adding that he himself would not attend the signing ceremony. He added that he hopes that the agreement will be signed already this weekend in Europe.
According to him, Vice President JD Vance and chief negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner should attend the signing on behalf of the American side.

“The documents are in a pretty final form… They (Iran) want them as much as everybody else,” Trump said, according to the Times of Israel. He added that he had just been on the phone with many leaders in the region, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He stated that Israel is not a party to the agreement with Iran, but praised Trump for the fact that the agreement will include the removal of enriched uranium, the dismantling of uranium enrichment facilities, the limitation of missile production and the end of support for terrorist groups.
The American president spoke by phone with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Sani about the progress of the negotiations, according to ČTK Qatar.
Shortly before announcing progress in the negotiations, Trump announced on his social network Truth Social that he was canceling the announced bombing of Iran, saying that the date for signing the agreement would be announced soon. Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency said in response that no deal had been approved.
“Iran has not approved any text of the initial memorandum of understanding with the United States,” the Fars agency said in response to Trump’s statement, citing a source close to Iran’s negotiating team, according to the Times of Israel.
However, Trump insists that the deal to be signed will ensure that Iran “never has a nuclear weapon, which was the whole purpose of everything we went through.” He also noted that the Strait of Hormuz will immediately reopen as a result of the agreement.

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that the latest military action by the United States against Iran forced Tehran to actually agree to a peace deal this time.
