Former Minister of Defense and Democratic Party of Socialist Party MP Predrag Boskovic was arrested at Podgorica Airport by order of the Special State Prosecutor’s office.
Boskovic, as reported by the Montenegrin media, was detained as part of an extensive operation carried out by the Special Prosecutor’s office, which in recent days has arrested a well-known Montenegrin entrepreneur, three former members of the secret service and a Balkan state prosecutor.
His arrest relates to an investigation involving entrepreneur Aleksandar Mijajlovic, while the Supreme Court in Montenegro confirmed that the businessman and a former police officer will remain in custody for 30 days, while other suspects face travel prohibitions or house arrest.
According to the Montenegrin media, they are suspected of establishing a criminal organization and action against the security system.
According to the same allegations, the Office of the Special State Prosecutor in Montenegro suspect that senior police officers, three members of the Montenegrin secret service and one prosecutor have assisted Mijajlovic, providing him with classified information.
