Minister of Health Will Solve Appointment Problems

Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu said, “We continue to work on appointments. We still have problems in some branches. We are working on these issues in two or three months to make appointments easier and make our system more functional. Hopefully, we will share this with the public and solve the appointment problems.” We minimize it.” he said.

Minister Memişoğlu, in his statement to journalists after his visit to Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer, expressed his satisfaction to be in Edirne, the border city.

Stating that they are evaluating what can be done better in health services in Edirne, Memişoğlu emphasized that their goal is to make Edirne the health center of the Balkans.

“We will also produce the science of health”

Explaining that they have a system and manpower that provides the best health care in the world, Memişoğlu continued his speech as follows:

“Under the leadership of our President, we have come to good places in health for 22 years. It will get even better. As we always say, we will produce not only the services of health but also the science of it. We are traveling around our cities within the scope of the Healthy Turkey Century Program. We are seeing what we can do. In addition, it is known that our fertility rate is decreasing. Unfortunately, surgery such as cesarean section is very preferred and we are trying to make midwives more effective in this regard.

As you know, today we have published another legislation regarding the education of expectant mothers. Thus, we always express that normal birth is natural birth. Unfortunately, we need to reduce our caesarean section rates, which are over 50 percent today, to the 15 percent recommended by the World Health Organization. “We see this as indispensable for both mother’s and baby’s health, and for the development of society in this regard.”

“We will minimize appointment problems within two or three months.”

Minister of Health Memişoğlu stated that their work on the appointment system continues.

Explaining that there are still problems in some branches regarding appointments and that efforts are continuing to solve the problems, Memişoğlu said, “We are continuing to work especially on appointments. As you know, we still have problems in some branches. In two or three months, we will both make appointments easier and make our system more functional.” “We are working to make this possible. Hopefully, we will share this with the public and minimize appointment problems.” he said.
