Minister Hoxha official visit to Kosovo: Tirana and Prishtina share the same state objectives

Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha paid an official visit to Kosovo this Sunday where he met the acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the Acting President Albulena Haxhiu and his counterpart Glauk Konjufca.

Through a statement to the media where they revealed details of the meeting, the two counterparts Hoxha and Konjufca emphasized that the meetings are fraternal and that Kosovo and Albania share the same state and national objectives.

Kosovo is an absolute priority of our foreign policy. It is a clear and unchanging dimension of the Albanian state, the Albanian government and the Albanian state. What happens in Kosovo has direct importance for Albania in an inseparable mutual connection because the progress of the Republic of Kosovo and that of Albania go hand in hand.” – said Ferit Hoxha, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Albania.

In these times of global instability, coordination between our countries is a vital necessity. In addition to the European integration orientation of the states of the region, the NATO membership of most of the states in our region, we all conclude that it has been a factor of stability. In this regard, I asked Minister Hoxha for Albania’s support for our aspiration for a more accelerated rapprochement and membership of Kosovo in NATO.” — emphasized Glauk Konjufca, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kosovo.

The ministers further emphasized that they also discussed issues of regional cooperation, support for the Albanian diaspora, infrastructure projects between the two countries and the deepening of intergovernmental cooperation.
