The Commissioner of the European Union for Enlargement, Marta Kos, has congratulated the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, for the victory in the elections of June 7, also evaluating the success of the electoral process.
In a post on the X platform, she wrote, “Congratulations to Albin Kurti for the victory in the elections in Kosovo, and importantly for the smooth, comprehensive and regular voting process“
Kos has emphasized that for Kosovo to progress on its way to the EU, political forces must unite and reach a compromise to build institutional stability.
“For Kosovo to progress on its path to the EU, political forces must now come together and find compromises to build institutional stability.“, said Kos.
Moreover, she has also expressed her willingness to visit Kosovo in the near future, with the aim of intensifying work on European integration and the Growth Plan.
“I look forward to returning to Kosovo as soon as possible to intensify the work on the integration of Kosovo into the EU and to continue the work on the financing of the Growth Plan“, emphasized Kos.
