Local elections in Kosovo – The second round for the election of the mayors of 18 municipalities will be held tomorrow

One million 316 thousand 672 residents of 18 municipalities of Kosovo will turn to the ballot boxes again on Sunday to elect the mayors of these municipalities in the second round of local elections. There are 507 polling stations which will open at 7 am and close at 7 pm where citizens will be able to exercise their right to choose between the two candidates who received the most votes in the first round on October 12.

The spokesperson of the central election commission announced that all the necessary preparations for the smooth running of the election process have been completed.

On Saturday, the CEC distributed election materials, including ballots, to 18 municipalities, where voting will take place on November 9. This material, in the early hours of the morning, will be sent to the Voting Centers / Polling Stations, which will open at 07:00“, said Elezi.

Measures have also been taken by the Kosovo police to guarantee peaceful elections and the security of election materials until the end of the process. The balloting for mayors of municipalities will be held tomorrow in 18 municipalities – Gjakovë, Gjilan, Dragash, Kaçanik, Klinë, Fushë Kosovë, South Mitrovica, Obiliq, Rahovec, Pejë, Prishtinë, Prizren, Suharekë, Viti, Vushtrri, Junik, Mamushë and Kllokot.
