Kurti holds the first meeting with the new president: We must be together for many state challenges

“The State of Kosovo was built on the sacrifice, vision and endurance of generations.” This message was given by the newly elected president of Kosovo, Justina Shiroka Pula on her first day in office, which she started with tributes at the “Adem Jashari” Memorial Complex in Prekaz, at the resting place of the historical president Ibrahim Rugova and the event Adem Demaçi.

Right after these honors, the head of state received the prime minister of Kosovo, a meeting which Albin Kurti described as an important step towards cooperation and institutional coordination.

“The Republic of Kosovo, after more than a year and a half, has functional institutions and we have no time to lose. We must come together for the many challenges ahead. I encountered not only the understanding, but also the willingness, interest and will of the new president to work together to the maximum for all things in every aspect“, said Kurti.

Justina Shiroka-Pula was elected president of Kosovo on October 6, after a last-minute agreement between the Vetëvendosje Movement and the Democratic Party of Kosovo. A day ago, she officially took over from the acting president, Albulena Haxhiu.
