Kurti appears in court on the case of threat from social networks, two accused of intimidation

Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, appeared today before the Basic Court of Pristina, where the case is being tried against Faton Klinaku, accused of threatening Kurti.

In the preliminary hearing, in which the court decides on the validity of the indictment and the continuation of the criminal proceedings, the Prime Minister in office said he would represent himself as a injured party. He also stated that he does not seek compensation from the other party.

The case dates back to August 29 two years ago, when through social media, the prime minister claims that Klinak had threatened him with murder.

I am still repeating, if you find the earlier posting: I first kill it than letting it out and leave Kosovo,“It was said in the repository message of Klinak, who is also a member of the KLA War Veterans Organization.

While the clinic message came to the other posts that he was disappointed that he had “voted” to Prime Minister Kurti, he rejected the prosecution’s threat, saying he never thought of threatening anyone.

For my post, I consider that there is no criminal offense. Therefore I do not accept”Klinaku said at the initial court hearing.

Along with the Klinak, the defendant for the case is Nuredin Selmani. A few weeks ago, the prosecution announced that the indictment against them is for the offense of “Threat”.
