The spokesperson of the Central Election Commission in Kosovo, Valmir Elezi, announced that after the counting of votes for mayors, the process for the members of the municipal assemblies is continuing.
He informed that in 38 Municipal Counting Centers, the CEC has engaged more than 520 teams with over two thousand members.
“The counting of ballots from conditional voting, ballots from the voting of persons with special needs and ballots from voting outside Kosovo, will be done at the Counting and Results Center, after the process is completed at the Municipal Counting Center. According to preliminary data, in 54 conditional polling stations, in 38 municipalities of the country, we have 2,119 envelopes with ballots”, Elezi said.
Regarding the voting outside Kosovo, the CEC official informed that so far they have withdrawn 32,258 envelopes with ballots.
“From voting outside Kosovo, from the withdrawal of postal deliveries that was made from 22 mailboxes, out of a total of 23, the number of supposed envelopes with ballots is 33,258. Soon we will also have the data from the voting of persons with special needs, which was carried out outside the polling stations. The number of voters registered in this voting program was 3,467“, he emphasized.
According to the preliminary results from the counting of votes for the members of the municipal assemblies at the country level, the Democratic Party of Kosovo leads, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo. The Vetëvendosje movement is in third place, followed by the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.
