Kosovo – CEC starts publishing votes by mail, LDK leads in Dragash, VV in Shtime and Mitrovica

The Central Election Commission (CEC) today started publishing the results of postal votes for local elections in several municipalities of Kosovo, while the process of counting and verification is expected to continue in the coming days.

The results counted so far show a different superiority of the parties depending on the municipality:

In the municipality of Dragash, where the counting of postal votes has been completed (100%), the results are as follows:

The candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Bexhet Xheladini, leads convincingly with 1,181 votes (55.92%).

After him is the candidate of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Shaban Shabani, with 537 votes (25.43%).

The candidate of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), Filiz Mustafa, received 350 votes (16.57%).

Even in Shtime, the final results of postal votes have been published, where the candidate of Vetëvendosje (LVV), Qemajl Aliu, is ahead, with 379 votes (51.63%).

PDK’s candidate, Përparim Ramusa, ranks second with 258 votes (35.15%).

In South Mitrovica, only 50% of postal votes have been counted, but according to the results so far, the candidate of Vetëvendosje (LVV), Faton Peci, leads with 169 votes (58.48%).

The PDK candidate, Arian Tahiri, has 83 votes (28.72%).

The CEC has announced that the process of verifying and publishing the remaining results from postal votes for other municipalities will continue in the coming days.
