According to Pakistan, which acted as a mediator, the US peace plan has fifteen points. These include the easing of sanctions, nuclear cooperation, restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program, limits on the missile program or the access of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran rejected the proposal and, according to state television, presented its own demands. Among other things, he is asking for a complete cessation of enemy attacks not only on Iran, but also on Iran’s allies in the region, the provision of war reparations or the recognition of Iranian sovereignty in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Tehran, this exchange of demands through intermediaries does not constitute negotiations. Moreover, according to Foreign Minister Abbas Arákčí, he has no interest in that. According to him, the American operation failed when it was unable to bring about a change in the Iranian regime.
