Crazy sad princess is a Czech fairy tale directed by Bořivoje Zeman. The film, which was shot at Blatná and Bojnice castles, premiered in 1968. It still appears on television screens, and not only at Christmas.

Prince Wenceslas (Václav Neckář) is to marry Princess Helena (Helena Vondráčková) from a neighboring kingdom. The marriage was arranged by the parents under the pretext of peace, which the prince does not like, so he goes to the princess in secret to get to know her better. He breaks into the castle garden, but accidentally falls into the pond, and that’s when he meets the princess for the first time. The guards capture the foreigners.
