Acting Minister of Youth and Sports, Blerim Gashani, has reported to the General Assembly of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games (ICMG) on the progress of Kosovo’s preparations for the organization of the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games.
During the presentation before the Assembly, Gashani presented the work done so far and the progress achieved within the preparations for the organization of this major international sports event.
Through visual materials, statistics and concrete data, he presented to the representatives of the member countries the steps taken by Kosovo in order to organize the Games.
Kosovo’s reporting was part of the regular agenda of the ICMG General Assembly, where host countries report on preparations and developments towards future editions of the Mediterranean Games.
However, the presentation of the Kosovo delegation was accompanied by a diplomatic incident. The delegation of Serbia, as a sign of protest and opposition, left the hall during the presentation of the preparations for Pristina 2030.
Despite this action, the presentation of Kosovo continued and the delegation working for Pristina 2030 presented to the Assembly the progress achieved so far.
Kosovo aims to complete the infrastructural and organizational preparations in the next four years to be ready to host the Mediterranean Games in 2030.
