ANO, which won with an overwhelming majority and has twenty-four seats in the fifty-five-member council, will dominate the eleven-member council. And, of course, he will occupy the post of governor, who will be the leader of the candidate, doctor Kamal Farhan.
“We will have eight positions in the council, the coalition partners will keep three,” said Farhan. In addition to the governor’s seat, YES will claim the areas of education and sports, healthcare, regional development, tourism, investments and property, social affairs, environment, finance and economy. The movement has not specified the staffing yet.
The mayors, who have eight representatives, will have the departments of transport and culture, as before, the group For our region – it has four mandates – will take over the area of IT and European affairs. The Pirates, who until now had a governor, Rudolf Špoták, and whose three representatives made it to the council, are no longer included in the council. “The coalition has a total of thirty-six representatives, enough to be stable and functional,” noted Farhan.
