“We are looking for another date, which should be in the next few days,” the Slovak Prime Minister answered on Thursday when asked by journalists during his visit to eastern Slovakia. However, he did not provide further information.
The head of the Slovak government has not yet visited the Ukrainian capital since taking office in 2023.
After ending the gas transit, which took place on January 1, Fico sharply criticized Zelensky and accused him, for example, of sabotage. According to him, Slovakia will lose half a billion euros (about 12.6 billion) in transportation fees because of the stoppage of Russian gas.
The prime minister also threatened to stop the supply of electricity to Ukraine, which has to turn off electricity for several hours every day due to Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure.
Zelenskyj, on the other hand, accused Fico of opening a second energy front against Ukraine. He also reminded him that if he stops the electricity, Slovakia will lose 200 million dollars (about 4.8 billion crowns) every year because of his decision.
Fico has not yet responded to how Zelenskyj enjoyed it. It is already heard from Moscow that she will not go to Kiev to see him
