The senior spotted the girl at the bus stop in Olbrachtova Street in Prague 4 and then chased her all the way to the stairs to the Budějovická department store. There he tricked her into the elevator, in which they went up to the fourth floor together.
However, the man discovered during the drive that there was a security camera inside. He therefore waited until the last floor, where he forced the girl to get off, grabbed her by the hand and led her this time away from the freight elevator, where there was no camera.
“During the ride down, he showed her a porn video on his mobile phone, putting his naked penis in her hand. Fortunately, the scared girl managed to get off the elevator on the lower floor and run away from it,” said Prague police spokesman Richard Hrdina on Tuesday.
The case was immediately taken over by criminal investigators, who secured the camera footage and began searching for the man. They soon tracked him down and subsequently arrested him and accused him of sexual assault.
“For that, if convicted, he faces up to twelve years behind bars. The detectives submitted a proposal to the public prosecutor to take the accused into custody. He accepted the proposal, but the court did not comply with the public prosecutor’s request, so the accused is being investigated at large,” Hrdina explained the court’s surprising procedure.
In addition, according to him, it is not excluded that the suspect has committed other such acts, therefore he called on everyone who encountered similar behavior to report it to the nearest police station.
In connection with Saturday’s attack, the Prague police officers are also looking for an important witness – a senior citizen walking on crutches, who at one point rode with the sexual predator and his victim in the elevator. They absolutely need to hear him. If anyone knows him, call 158.
