He paid for the accessories for the Thermomix, but did not receive anything. There are more cheated people on Facebook

A resident of Olomouc reacted on the Vorwerk Thermonix Bazar group on the social network Facebook to the offer of a Vorwerk Thermomix container, which the seller was offering for three thousand crowns.

Thermomix is a multifunctional kitchen robot that combines several appliances in one device – for example, a mixer, a scale, a chopper, a kneader, a steamer and a cooker. It allows you to precisely control the temperature, time and mixing speed, so it facilitates the preparation of a wide range of dishes from soups and sauces to doughs and desserts.

“After establishing communication via the Messenger application, they agreed that the injured party would pay for the goods in advance, including postage, after which he sent the entire sum of 3,075 crowns to the contracted account,” informed police spokesman Jaroslav Herzán.

After payment, the man did not receive the goods and the seller stopped communicating. The victim turned to the police.

“As part of the investigation, it was found that three other damages were robbed in the Czech Republic probably by the same perpetrator and in the same way. Since the total damage exceeded 10,000 crowns, the police initiated criminal proceedings for the crime of theft,” added the police spokesman. If caught and proven guilty, the offender faces up to two years behind bars.

The marketing director of Vorwerk Czech Republic, Miroslava Plánková, also commented on the case for Fairpress.

“Vorwerk Czech Republic was not involved in this transaction in any way and does not have the ability to influence private sales between users. We would like to call on all those interested in buying used devices or accessories to be extremely careful when shopping online, verify the credibility of sellers and, if possible, use personal delivery or secure payment methods,” said Plánková.

“To ensure a safe purchase, we recommend purchasing Thermomix products and accessories through official sales advisors. In case of any questions, customers can contact our sales advisors or the customer line,” she added.
