Hamza: First the law on the Special, then the election of the president

The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza, has reiterated his party’s position that the solution to the institutional deadlock should start with the approval of the law on Specialized Chambers in both readings.

RTK reports that before the meeting of the Presidency of PDK, Hamza said that after the approval of the law, the candidate for president should be proposed and his election should proceed, with the aim that the country avoids going to new elections.

“We are saying that the law be approved in both readings. Then the name for president be proposed and the president be elected, and the elections be avoided,” declared Hamza.

He emphasized that PDK’s position, according to him, is not only related to the interests of a political party, but to the institutional interest of the country.

“The history, the present and the future of Kosovo is bigger than everything. Kosovo is bigger than us”, said Hamza.

The head of the PDK added that if other political subjects have an approach that leads the country towards new elections, the responsibility for such a development, according to him, belongs to them.
