Acting Minister of Youth and Sports, Blerim Gashani, has announced that the First International Conference on the Security of Major Sports Events has been held, as part of the preparations for the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030”.
The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, and the Ambassador of France in Kosovo, Olivier Guérot, also participated in the conference, while the organization of security based on the experience of the Paris Olympic Games was discussed.
“The success of this project is not built on the opening day of the Games, but every day through planning, coordination and institutional commitment. We are working every day to ensure that Kosovo is ready to organize the Mediterranean Games according to the highest European standards”, wrote Gashani.
He added that the goal is for “Prishtina 2030” to leave a lasting legacy for sport and youth in Kosovo.
The conference is considered an important step on the way to the organization of the Mediterranean Games, with local institutions that have already started coordination and strategic planning to guarantee a safe and professional environment for participants and visitors./KosovaPress/
