Czech hockey players entered last year’s prestigious series for the four strongest European national teams as world champions and confirmed their quality form with an overall victory in the Euro Hockey Tour after five years.
The Czechs start their defense as they do every year at the November tournament organized by Finland, which this year changes its name from the Karjala Tournament to the Finnish Hockey Games. It takes place from Thursday November 6 to Sunday November 9 in Tampere, Finland. The only exception was the opening match of the Czech national team against Sweden, which was played in Ängelholm, Sweden.
Program of the Finnish Hockey Games 2025

After the traditional day break, the Swedish hockey players will play Switzerland at noon on Saturday, and the Finns will play the Czech Republic in the afternoon. The opening tournament of the season will end with Sunday’s matches – the Czech Republic and Switzerland and the Nordic derby between Finland and Sweden.
