The process of counting votes in the Kosovo elections is nearing completion, but the final result has not yet been closed, as postal and conditional votes remain to be counted. According to the data so far, the Vetëvendosje Movement has emerged as the first political force, securing 52 parliamentary mandates and about 45.89% of the votes.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) ranks behind it with 22 seats and about 19.96% of the votes, while the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) won 19 mandates with 17.04%. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) secured 7 mandates, with about 6.89% of the votes.
Although the current trend favors Self-determination, the process is not yet closed. About 35,000 postal votes and approximately 11,000 conditional votes and from persons with special needs are expected to influence the final result.
The results have changed in several stages of the counting: in the preliminary results, VV had about 42.96% and 48 mandates, in the votes from the diplomatic missions, the party received over 83% of the votes, while in the postal votes, the support reached about 70.26%. Vetevendosje must maintain a high trend, over 70% in the remaining votes, to ensure an additional mandate in the Assembly.
