The evaluation process of postal ballot packages of the Kosovo diaspora for the second round elections for mayor on November 9 continues. The Central Election Commission informed RTK that more than 9,800 packages were subjected to the evaluation process, of which more than 7,240 were approved, while around 2,570 were rejected.
“The most stated reason why these packages were rejected is because in 2,500 cases the registration receipt, a document with unique data, that the registered voter receives from the CEC, is missing. On November 11 and 12, 13,084 packages of supposed ballots, which belong to postal voting outside Kosovo in the second round of elections for Mayors of 18 municipalities, were withdrawn from CEC mailboxes in 22 different countries of the world. Until now, most of them have been brought to Kosovo”, said the spokesperson of the CEC, Valmir Elezi. The latter explained that at the end of this process, the data on the number of packages with supposed ballots, which will be counted in the Counting and Results Center, will also be made public.
