Edirne Governor Sezer said that they want white cheese to be recognized in the EU and the world.

Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer stated that they aim to make Edirne’s brands known in the European Union and the world.

In his speech at the award ceremony of the 3rd Soil to Table Edirne Gastronomy Festival held in Söğütlük National Garden, Sezer explained that they focused on the promotion of Edirne white cheese this year.

Stating that they aimed for everyone to know the beautiful values ​​of Edirne while organizing the festival, Sezer said that the organization is getting better every year. he stated.

Stating that this year’s festival is important for the promotion of Edirne white cheese, Sezer said, “This year, we introduced Edirne white cheese as the capital of white cheese, to deliver a century-old effort and a right. A very large team worked. Hundreds of chefs have contributed here. We have chefs from the Balkans. We have chefs from nine countries. We have mothers. We have cheese producers. They have put in their efforts and their time.” he said.

Stating that they want the festival to contribute to the promotion of Edirne’s gastronomic values ​​internationally, Sezer said, “We are not just trying to bring these brands to light for Edirne. We also want them to be recognized in the European Union and the world.” he said.

The winners of the cooking competitions held in different categories within the scope of the organization were given their awards by Governor Sezer and the protocol members.

In the International Cooking Competition Balkans Gastronomy Cup held within the scope of the festival, Romania came first, Türkiye came second, and Albania came third.

At the end of the award ceremony, the chefs participating in the festival asked “Have There Been Cranberries?” He kept rhythm on stage with his ladles and pots, accompanied by his folk song.

Edirne Deputy Governor and Provincial Special Administration General Secretary Eyyüp Batuhan Ciğerci, Provincial Police Chief Muhittin Ayhan, MHP Provincial Chairman Ahmet Biçer, Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Sezai Irmak, many local and foreign chefs, cheese producers and citizens attended the ceremony.
