Deputies. The Albanian Prime Minister in North Macedonia, Prime Minister Mickoski, confirmed the resignation of Arben Fetai

Arben Fetai announced his resignation from the post of Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia for Good Governance. Through a post on social media, the Albanian politician from the ranks of VLEN said that his decision is well thought out.

“I submitted my resignation from the position of Deputy Prime Minister responsible for Good Governance to the Prime Minister. During these two years, I have had the honor and privilege to serve the country, contributing to reforms aimed at strengthening accountability, transparency and the rule of law, a mission as important as it is thankless. Am I completely satisfied with what we have achieved? Of course not,” he wrote in his resignation letter, emphasizing that he worked with maximum dedication.

“In the current circumstances, I estimate that the necessary conditions no longer exist to exercise this duty with the appropriate effectiveness,” Fetai declared. The resignation of Deputy the Albanian Prime Minister was also confirmed by the Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.

The latter stated that Feta’s successor will be decided after consultations with the coalition partners, while adding that the government will be reconfigured within the month. For its part, VLEN, the Albanian coalition in co-governance with VMRO-DPMNE, praised Arben Fetai for his contribution so far. The media in the neighboring country have reported that Fetai has not participated in government meetings for several months.
