Denmark will deliver more F-16 fighters to Ukraine by the end of the year

“Denmark will provide another batch of F-16 fighters in the second half of 2024,” said Poulsen, while this time he did not specify when this would happen and exactly how many aircraft he was talking about. “This is done for the safety of the operation,” he added.

Copenhagen has publicly committed to providing 19 F-16 aircraft. Together with the Netherlands, Denmark thus became the driving force behind the initiative to arm the Ukrainian air force. They also provide training to its pilots. Therefore, it is assumed that most of the aircraft delivered in July come from these two countries, but this data remains secret, reports Ukrainska pravda.

However, Ukraine is expected to receive a total of 20 F-16 aircraft this year. That is also why initial reports in July indicated that ten of them were already in Ukraine. However, according to later estimates, Ukraine has received fewer of them. The only thing that is certain is that she lost one at the end of August in an accident, the cause of which has not yet been announced.
