“Congress in Search of Solutions to the Crises in the European and Central Asian Islamic States Region” organized by the Strategic Research Center of Justice Defenders (ASSAM) was held in Istanbul. Representatives from 12 countries, including Qatar, Malaysia, Kosovo and Sudan, attended the congress. Emphasizing the importance of unity among Islamic countries, ASSAM Vice President Ali Coşar said, “It has reached a dead end now. We are at the last exit before the bridge.”
“Congress in Search of Solutions to the Crises of the European and Central Asian Islamic States Region” organized by ASSAM was held at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. Representatives and audiences from 12 countries, including Türkiye, Qatar, Malaysia, Kosovo and Sudan, attended the congress. At the congress, what happened in Palestine and East Turkestan, identity and border disputes were discussed. On the other hand, while the search for solutions to religious, political and ethnic problems in Cyprus and the Balkans was discussed, the issue of unity among Islamic countries was particularly emphasized.
“It’s now a dead end”
Providing information about the congress, ASSAM Secretary General and Vice President Ali Coşar said, “ASSAM was established as an association in 2013, as it was first put forward by Adnan Tanrıverdi Pasha in our ASDER association in 2011, and the ideas developed within ASDER in a period of 2 years required it to continue its activities as an independent formation. It has been continuing in the form of African Islamic Union congresses since 2013. It held its first congress in 2017 and It has carried out its implementation in practice until 2019. It has continued online during the pandemic. We have been continuing our 9th congress since 2024. We have been working on how to find a solution to the crises in various parts of the world since 2024. This year’s study was a congress that will examine the East Turkestan and Asian region together with the Islamic countries. This year’s congress has the following feature. They presented solutions on the subject. In my presentation, I made a presentation on the fact that it is time for the Islamic world to stop boasting about the past and that we are at the last exit before the bridge. It was not only a congress where declarations were made, but also a congress expressed within the scope of a manifesto. All of the participants here stated that now is the time to take action, and that a common economic system, a common education system and a community of countries should be established. “They emphasized that in order to stop the bloodshed in Sudan, Israel must be confronted with a force at least equal to it,” he said.
“China is not inferior to the imperialists in the West”
Referring to China’s role in the region, Coşar continued his words and said, “China is no less than the imperialists in the West. It also has its own silent imperialism. It has been carrying out bloody occupations in the lands of East Turkestan for years. It is taking insidious measures to completely eliminate the living space of our compatriots there. They have activities related to eliminating family life by degenerating Uyghur families and forcing Chinese people into the families. China prevents the world from hearing about them with a very tight control.” he said.
“Approximately 25 of the 45 crisis regions in the world are Islamic countries”
ASSAM Deputy President Nejat Özden emphasized the Islamic unity and said, “The Islamic world needs to create a new position for itself. This is the Islamic unity. There is a need to act jointly with a common environment. Approximately 25 of the 45 crisis regions in the world are crises that occur in the Islamic geography. Therefore, the Islamic unity must definitely be realized. If this is realized, the Islamic world will ensure the realization of justice and prosperity with its own dynamics. And as the Islamic world, more prosperous and peaceful days will be waiting for us. Otherwise “If this is the case, the Islamic world will be in a position where it is struggling with its own problems and cannot overcome them. The aim of these congresses is to accurately analyze the consequences of this disorganization in the Islamic world and to strongly emphasize that the way out of this is Islamic unity.” – ISTANBUL
