The strong storm that engulfed Kosovo on Tuesday caused numerous damages mainly in the municipalities of Suhareka and Istog. Local media reports that due to the storms, one person lost his life and two others were injured.
The Hydrometeorological Institute of Kosovo announced that even during Wednesday, the country will continue to be affected by unstable weather, with rain in most of the territory, while there is also a drop in temperatures.
A hurricane-force storm also hit North Macedonia, where extensive material damage was reported in Skopje, Kumanovo and Tetovo. Earlier, the European Storm Prediction Center issued the highest level of alert for part of the Balkan region, warning of dangerous storms.
According to the forecast, the most endangered areas are the south of Croatia, the south of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro and Kosovo.
A few days ago strong storms and numerous material damages caused by them were also reported from Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.
