Kosovo police have found 21 pounds of marijuana inside a bag that was thrown by a suspect, who directed the weapon and then left the scene.
According to the police report, the suspect directed a gun at police officers and then dumped the bag, leaving the mountainous area towards Albania.
Police officials attempted to stop being introduced, but he threw the bag and left the mountainous area towards Albania.
After searching the bag, police found the narcotic substance.
“Kosovo Police, respectively the Investigation Unit from the Border Department, on 20.08.2025, at around 8:30 pm during investigative actions in the Kosovo-Albania border area along the green line, encountered a suspect who was carrying a bag and was armed. The person at the time he noticed police officers directed the firearm towards them, posing a direct danger. Police officials attempted to stop being introduced, but he threw the bag and left the mountainous area towards Albania.
The bag was searched about the case where the amount of suspected marijuana narcotic substance was observed, which after measuring the antidroga unit resulted in about 21 kilograms (marijuana). The competent prosecutor was notified of the actions taken by the case, with the instruction of which is initiated the case which remains to be treated by DHTN – Prizren”, Kosovo Police reports.
