American congressmen meet Albanian representatives in Presheva

American Congressmen Keith Self and Suhas Subramanyam have held a meeting with Albanian political representatives in the Presheva Valley, at the offices of the Albanian National Council in Presheva.

The American delegation was received by the chairman of the Albanian National Council, Enkel Rexhepi, the Albanian deputy in the Parliament of Serbia, Shaip Kamberi, as well as the vice-chairman of the Municipality of Presheva, Ragmi Mustafa.

The focus of the meeting was on the rights of Albanians in the Presheva Valley, political developments in the region and the challenges faced by the Albanian community in the south of Serbia.

The visit of the American congressmen is taking place as part of an official tour in Kosovo and the Presheva Valley, organized with the support of the “Albanians for America” ​​organization.

According to the organizers, the purpose of the visit is to strengthen the strategic partnership between the United States of America and Kosovo, as well as to discuss issues of regional security and support for Albanians in the region.

During their stay in Kosovo, the congressmen are expected to hold meetings with representatives of state institutions, security authorities and international representatives at Camp Bondsteel. Also, the agenda includes meetings with representatives of civil society and the media.

The visit comes in a period of increased commitment of the American Congress for stability and security in the Western Balkans, as well as for the Euro-Atlantic processes in the region.
