The General Secretary of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Besim Aliti, has shared on social networks images from the “Iacovone” stadium in Taranto, which has been reconstructed as part of the preparations for the Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games.
Through a post on Facebook, Aliti emphasized that the stadium represents an investment that will not only serve the Mediterranean Games, but also the city of Taranto, which has about 185 thousand inhabitants. He estimated that such sports infrastructure creates long-term value for the community and the development of sports.
Referring to the organization of the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games, Aliti expressed the hope that the capital of Kosovo will also benefit from a modern stadium of this level. According to him, such an investment would be an important legacy for Kosovar sports and for future generations./KosovaPress/
