Ali Ahmeti on the protest in Tirana: We are all KLA. It is a matter of time, but a similar protest will take place in Skopje

The President of the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), Ali Ahmeti, has declared his support for the protest announced for tomorrow in Tirana, which is organized to call for justice for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) who are being tried by the Special Court in The Hague.

Ahmeti emphasized the national dimension of this protest, stating that all party activities have been frozen because of it.

“We are all KLA, and it is not a protest that unites us any group, but a protest that unites us the Kosovo Liberation Army, to raise everyone’s voice against this great injustice done to our Army,” he said in an interview for T7.

The head of DUI strongly denounced the judicial process in The Hague, calling it a great injustice and a diversion of the case.

According to Ahmet, the prosecutor’s office in The Hague diverted the case, turning it into a case “made up by people with bad intentions” and motivated by Serbian secret services. He accused that the court changed the charge for “unreal cases fabricated by self-interested and slanderous witnesses”.

Ahmeti sent a clear message to the Tribunal: “KLA is not a criminal enterprise, but a liberation organization.”

Asked if a similar protest will be organized in Skopje, Ahmeti replied that this is “a matter of time”, adding that he is talking with the veterans of the National Liberation Army (KLA) in North Macedonia, who are in contact with the associations of war veterans in Kosovo.
