After the collision, the motorcycle was left hanging on the traffic light high above the intersection. The footage from Canada is terrifying

On the border of the Canadian cities of Surrey and Delta, which are part of the Vancouver agglomeration, a very curious traffic accident occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, May 9, after which a motorcycle was left hanging high above the road at the traffic light.

Around 3:00 p.m., at the intersection of 72 Avenue and Scott Road, the driver of a light-colored BMW was turning left, when a motorcyclist came from the opposite direction and tried his best to brake, but still crashed into the car at a fairly high speed.

It was a really strong collision, after which the rider flew several tens of meters and his motorcycle, which the Road and Track website identified as a brand new Suzuki GSX-R1000 from the 40th Anniversary edition, flew high into the air, turned around several times and then got stuck on the traffic light structure by the front wheel.

According to local rescuers, the motorcyclist suffered quite serious injuries, but his life was not in danger, which can be considered a small miracle under the circumstances. On the other hand, the driver of the passenger car came out of the accident uninjured.

People who were around the accident site at that time could not believe their eyes. “I’ve never seen anything like it, it was like a movie,” William Chan, who was on his way to a nearby Krispy Kreme donut shop, told the CBC website.

On the way, he noticed a crashed car, so he started looking for another participant in the accident, but he didn’t see anything anywhere. “But then I looked up and there was a motorcycle hanging above us. It was pretty crazy,” he added, adding that he decided to stay put to watch the firefighters take the machine down.

“One would expect that the motorcycle would fly somewhere on the sidewalk or to the shops around, but that it gets all the way there and then winds up there… well, that’s just something,” said Jevon Ryan, another witness.
