The highway was closed before 04:15 between the exits to Vestec and Zbraslav. “On the Prague ring road near Zbraslav in the direction of the airport, we are responding to a traffic accident involving two trucks,” the fire department said on the X social network.
They freed and handed over one person to rescuers. Firefighters published a photo showing the badly damaged cabin of one truck.
Police spokesman Richard Hrdina said that a truck apparently hit a car with an arrow directing traffic from behind. “We are investigating the causes and circumstances of the accident,” quoted a ČTK spokesperson.
Around 08:00, the police made the section operational with one lane and regulated traffic in the Komořanský tunnel. Drivers went around the accident site via exit 10, and according to information at 09:30, long queues continued to form.
