TİM completed its Kosovo and North Macedonia contacts with more than 925 B2B meetings

Kosovo and North Macedonia Trade Delegation Program organized by Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) has been completed. TİM Sectors Council Member and TİM Carpet Sector Board Chairman İskender Kaplan, who chaired the delegation, evaluated the giant organization in which more than 925 B2B meetings were held: “Beyond our historical ties, the Balkans is a strategic market gate for our exporters,” he said.

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) organized a comprehensive Trade Delegation program for Kosovo and North Macedonia between 28 September and 2 October, in line with the vision of strengthening the foot of Turkish exporters in global markets.

In the program carried out under the chairmanship of TİM Sectors Council Member İskender Kaplan, Turkish companies came together with the Balkan business world in B2B meetings held in Pristina and Skopje. Making a statement after the delegation completed with more than 925 bilateral business meetings in total, Head of the Delegation İskender Kaplan emphasized that the contacts were extremely productive.

“We encountered intense interest in Pristina and Skopje”

Drawing attention to the potential of the Balkans market for Turkish products, TİM Sectors Council Member İskender Kaplan stated that they encountered an interest above expectations in both legs of the organization. Kaplan said, “As the Turkish Exporters Assembly, we are on the field to fly the flag of our exporters in every corner of the world. Our delegation to Kosovo and North Macedonia was a very critical step in transforming our existing strong relations with the region into commercial partnerships. Over 400 meetings we held with 26 companies in Pristina and 525 B2B contacts with 210 Macedonian companies in Skopje, showed how much the perception of Turkish goods and the desire for cooperation in the region are.” “As TİM, we will continue to increase our commercial presence in the Balkans and open new markets for our exporters by signing more than 925 business meetings in total in the two countries,” he said.

Giant B2B marathon from Pristina to Skopje

The first stop of the delegation headed by TİM Sectors Council Member İskender Kaplan was Pristina. In the program attended by TR Pristina Charge d’Affaires Şeyda Çimeli Aydın and Commercial Counselor’s Office officials, 26 Turkish exporter company representatives met with their Kosovo partners and held more than 400 meetings.

There was a big meeting during the delegation’s Skopje leg on 1 October. 210 companies from North Macedonia participated in the program, in which 31 representatives from 26 Turkish companies participated. At the opening, Head of the Delegation İskender Kaplan, as well as North Macedonia Chamber of Economy CEO Antoni Peshev, Northwest Macedonia Chamber of Economy President Nuhi Aliu, MATTO President Aydoğan Ademoski and Turkish Ambassador to Skopje Alper Aktaş made speeches and underlined the strategic ties between the two countries.

With 525 meetings held in Skopje, the trade delegation was successfully completed, laying the foundations of the targeted trade volume and new partnerships.
