Edirne Mufti Burhan Çakır and his accompanying delegation, Bulgarian Grand Mufti Dr. Ahmed Hasanov and Shura Chairman Dr. He visited Mustafa Hacı.
According to the statement made by the Mufti’s Office, during the visit, religious and cultural ties between Türkiye and Bulgaria, as well as studies and cooperation in the field of religious services were discussed.
Hasanov stated that Türkiye’s strength is also an important source of power for Muslims in Bulgaria.
Stating that they have always received strength from Türkiye, Hasanov stated that they always felt the support of the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Edirne Mufti’s Office in the field of religious services.
Stating that the ties of affection between Türkiye and Bulgaria continue, Hasanov said, “Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, is our capital, and Edirne is a separate capital for us.” he said.
Çakır also noted that the Balkans are very valuable and of great importance for Türkiye.
Stating that these lands are an important legacy from our ancestors, Çakır said, “The peace, prosperity and well-being of our co-religionists and compatriots living in the Balkans are important to us. We will continue to provide all kinds of support needed in religious services.” he said.
