Albanians in Vienna, Munich and Zurich have warned of protests in support of the former leaders of the KLA. The “Freedom has a Name” platform made it known through an announcement that the gatherings abroad come in support of the numerous protests held in Kosovo in recent days after the decision of the Specialized Chambers in The Hague, which sentenced the former leaders of the KLA, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi to a total of 81 years in prison, declaring them guilty of war crimes.
In Prishtina, for the third evening in a row, many citizens and family members of former commanders gathered in “Skënderbeu” square, where they demanded justice for the former leaders of the KLA.
Earlier, the same square of the capital of Kosovo gathered thousands of protesters in the rally called by the Organization of KLA War Veterans, who demanded the repeal or change of the Law on the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo in The Hague, the dismissal of the Minister of Justice, Donika Gërvalla, and financial support for the defense of the former leaders of the KLA.
Meanwhile, PDK has announced the submission of a legal initiative to change the law on the Special Court.
