Prime Minister Albin Kurti reacted after the fire that engulfed a hotel in Vlora, where four Kosovo Albanians were injured as a result.
In a status on Facebook, Kurti wished a speedy recovery to all the injured citizens, while announcing that the authorities are in communication with the Albanian institutions.
“Today, in the early hours of the morning, a fire engulfed a hotel in Vlora, where as a result four citizens of the Republic of Kosovo were injured, three of whom are receiving hospital treatment in Tirana and one in Vlora. We are shocked by the news and are closely monitoring the situation of our citizens, being in constant communication with the relevant authorities in Albania. I wish the injured a speedy and complete recovery.” writes the prime minister.
Six vacationers were injured in the fire that engulfed the hotel in the Lungomare area. Five injured were transported to Tirana for treatment, while a girl is in serious condition, with burns on most of her body.
Some of the vacationers were forced to jump from the balconies to escape the flames and smoke.
