Albin Kurti, the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, the party that came first in the June 7 elections, sent an invitation to the other three parliamentary parties, PDK, LDK and AAK, to sit down in talks with the aim of unblocking the process of constitution of institutions.
Earlier it was Mimoza Kusari-Lila, the leader of Alternativa, the party in coalition with the Vetëvendosje Movement, who warned that Kurti’s invitation to those subjects was a matter of hours. Regarding the election of the president, for which Kosovo went to the elections on June 7, Kusari Lila asked for seriousness, saying that it is the joint responsibility of all deputies.
“The goal is to establish the institutions within a short period of time and create the conditions for the election of the president, avoiding a new election process”
Regarding the possibility of a political agreement, Kusari-Lila said that the LVV is open for discussions, but stressed that any agreement must respect the results of the elections.
“The citizens have spoken, the result is known and according to that result, political agreement between the subjects can be expected”,
The announced meetings are expected to take place before August 6, when the session for the constitution of the Assembly of Kosovo is also held.
